Welcome to my Narrow Gauge Memories. This site is devoted to images of the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad narrow gauge and its successor preserved lines. There are various sub-galleries designed to facilitate navigation. Hopefully the organization is easy to follow. Click first on whichever gallery interests you, and once in the gallery click on a thumbnail to see a larger version of the image. The larger versions are typically 950 to 1000 pixels wide so if you are using a dial-up connection the big images may be slow to load.

Comments are very much appreciated, especially if you encounter software problems or find factual errors in my captions, many of which were done from memory. Please let me know if you have problems with the software. There is a comments section at the bottom of the "Rio Grande in the 60's" front page, or please email me at "jbwest 'at' att.net".

If you want to purchase a copy of any of the images , a limited number of of the pictures are available for purchase at my Imagekind gallery which can be found HERE. The number of selections is currently limited, but I will be adding additional ones over time. If there is a specific image you would like, email me and I will try to add it to the Imagekind gallery sooner rather than later. The Imagekind pictures are generally sized to print at 11x14 inches. Smaller versions should be of good quality, sizes larger than 11x14 might suffer some loss of quality. I get a ten percent commission from any Imagekind sales, and any commissions recieved will be donated to either the Friends of the C&TS or the Colorado Railroad Museum. The advantage of Imagekind is the prints are of higher quality than I can make on my home printer, and Imagekind offers the option of framing. Based on my experience their prices are reasonable and quality excellent. If anyone is unsatisfied please let me know.

And many thanks to John Craft for finding the gallery software for this site, and for hosting it.

Don't worry about the login below, that is just to allow me to do maintenance.
