Spring time in the Rockies.....

...or some such romantic description. The 315 departs Chama on its first "revenue" trip on the C&TS. It had made a test trip to Cumbres several days earlier. The 315 was originally a Florence and Cripple Creek engine, and passed to the DRGW when the F&CC abandoned. It spent most of its DRGW life around Montrose and Gunnison, and its last days as the Durango yard engine. For years it sat deteriorating in a Durango park, until an unusually optimistic group of people decided it would be fun to restore it to serviceable condition. And amazingly they succeeded.
